God Loves You
This past week has been full of lessons for me.
I have learned that God answers prayers when you are brave enough to pray them. He really does answer when you knock and He really is in the tiny voice.
God shows up for you every single day with all of His infinite love and Almighty power, waiting to work with you to accomplish the day in front of you.
He is there to give you flowers and write you love notes if you are willing to accept them.
You may think that they're not there, but if you truly look and open your heart to the possibility of them being there, you may be surprised by what you find.
The truth is that He spends all day every day telling you that He loves you. And what do you do? Probably blow Him off. We tell Him that we can do it, that we don't need His help, that we don't need His love or His power or His grace. We tell Him that life would be better off without Him and that really, we just wish that He would go away.
But He doesn't.
We may turn a blind eye to His presence, but He n.e.v.e.r leaves our side. He is always right there.
All the help, power, and love that we could ever hope for and so much more is always right there.
So what if we stopped turning a blind eye?
What if we intentionally encouraged the swell of gratitude in our heart in response to His tender care as we watch those storm clouds rolling in to nurture those seedlings that we planted, still struggling to take root?
{He sent that rain for you and to support you in your endeavors.}
What if we prayed with our eyes closed, visualizing the day slowly unwinding to its end, and we held on to the feeling that He is right there with us on the couch, like we're watching a movie with our Lord.
{He's there to spend time with you because He loves you and He knows you love Him.}
What if instead of avoiding Him like the plague after sinning, you realized that you in that state is the exact reason that He lived His saving mission and that that is the exact moment that He most desires to visit with you?
What if you realized that the Father loves you so much that He scheduled thousands of years for your salvation? That the Son loved you enough to accept the Father's mission and pursue you, fight the dragon, and save you from a horrific end? That the Spirit flew to you and encompassed you as the manifestation of the Father and Son's Love poured out for you?
I'm willing to bet you would be a whole lot happier, Friend. <3
So what do you say?
Let's activate our intentionality with a little gratitude, a little self-love, and a little laughter to share the joy and love of our Savior welling up in us and flowing through the world.
I love you.
Love,
Laney <3
